Words cannot describe…
What it feels like to have my house back! I have a living room and dining room again! The drywall is done, the carpet is stretched, the trim was installed, I have painted and sanded and painted again but it is complete! I cleaned and washed every single item since it was covered in 5 months of dust! My dogs even barked at the change because it was so significant. I actually have room to move again. Abraham has no idea what a living room is nor what a dining room is supposed to be (it has been a storage room for so long). He has never seen his mommy and daddy sit down at a TABLE to eat a meal (other than at a restaurant). It is crazy. It has been 5+ months that we have been waiting for our house to be completed. Unfortunately with the economy, it turns out that many places are hurting (not like that is news). But when you have a warranty, you expect to be able to use it. Well, that is not always the case. Turns out our builder hasn’t been paying their bills and that has been causing all of the delays. We are still working with the contractor to get the outside of the house done. We actually volunteered to do some of the work (painting and sanding) to help lessen the cost. It stinks being stuck between a rock and a hard place. The contractor doesn’t want to do the work when he isn’t getting paid and the builder just keeps giving me the song and dance that everything is fine and the work should be done any day. Oh well, God is faithful and He has seen us through this mess…well, most of it! We aren’t at the finish line yet, but we are REALLY close! Enjoy the pictures of my masterpiece!!!
