Jeep Story: The story of how I found out that a 60th Edition even existed is as follows....
I went to a dealer with the intent of looking at a used Cherokee that I found on their web site for sale. Upon arriving to the dealership, I test drove the used Jeep and decided that they wanted to much for it given the current shape, mileage etc. After talking to the sales person, he informed me that 2001 was the last year for the Cherokee. Since I have always wanted one, and realizing that my chance to ever own a new one would soon be gone, I decided to take a look at what they had on the lot. After walking what seemed like a mile (it was a pretty big dealership) we came to where they had about 10 new Cherokee's. After looking them over I remember saying to the sales person that they looked a little plain, and wondered if they had any with different wheels or option packages that "spruced" them up a little bit. He proceeded to take me behind the building where low and behold they had FIVE 60th Anniversary Cherokees just sitting there waiting to be "plucked". I didn't even know they had made such a thing. I was sold immediately!! I didn't even ask to test drive it. I took one look at the sticker price and then I asked him "Where do I sign"? The rest is history as they say. I have had my Cherokee four wheelin' only a few times, but I love the ability these things have from the factory and I look forward to modifying my Jeep as soon as the warranty expires in about six months. In the mean time I will continue to abuse my 88' Ramcharger on the trail rides that I go on with the club that I joined almost two years ago(Ohio Valley Trail Riders). Below you can see a picture of the Ram for your enjoyment as well.
